Janice Dalzell, 78, of West Hazleton, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 29, 2026, at her residence.
Born in Hazleton, January 30, 1947, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Lucretia M. (Eisenman) Paisley and had spent most of her life in the Hazleton area.
Janice was a 1964 graduate of West Hazleton High School. She was employed as a factory worker for Pretium Packaging, Humbolt having retired in 2013. Janice was an avid race fan and staunch Evergreen Raceway supporter and was the absolute best Dog-Mom ever.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, William Dalzell; brother-in-law, John Lisansky; faithful friends and family, David Babula, JoAnne Babula, Ronald Babula, Sr. and faithful dog, Miley.
Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Dalzell and her children Tiffany, Samantha, and James Davis, Jr, all of Hazleton; loving family, sister, Donna Lisansky and her son Jesse, San Marcos, CA; Ronald Babula, Jr, Drums; Richard Babula, Hazleton; Sabrina Bogart and her husband TJ and their son Chase, Hazle Twp; and faithful dog Bella.
Her funeral will be held with a Memorial Service at a date and time to be announced in an upcoming edition of the Standard Speaker. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), 669 W. Butler Dr, Drums is assisting the family with the arrangements.
