Cynthia F. Marinock, 68, of Hazle Township, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at AdventHealth-Orlando in Orlando, FL following a sudden illness.
Born in Hazleton, August 21, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Heller) Herness and spent the past nine years in Hazle Township, after moving from Drums.
Cynthia was a 1975 graduate of Hazleton High School. She was employed as a CNA for Mountain City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from their opening day on December 1, 1983, and retired in the late 1990's. Cynthia was a member of the Catholic Faith. She was also an auxiliary member of the Butler Township Fire Company.
Cynthia loved spending time with her family, going camping at Promised Land State Park, taking trips to Disney, watching her granddaughter dance, baking, cooking, gardening and taking care of her favorite lilacs and hydrangeas.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her many beloved animals, including her dog, Sabby.
Surviving are her loving husband, Michael J. Marinock, Sr. to whom she would be married 50 years on August 7th; two children, Megan Farley and husband Daniel, York Haven; and Michael J. "Big Pete" Marinock, Jr, Hazle Twp; granddaughter, Adeline Farley, at home; a sister, Joann Burger and husband Robert, Drums; step-siblings, Donny Yanac, Janet Dushanko, and David Herness; and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held with a graveside service on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 2 PM in Holy Trinity RC Slovak Cemetery, Cemetery Rd, Hazleton, PA 18201. Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc, 669 W. Butler Dr, Drums, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
